Barsi ceremony is an important Hindu ritual after the death which is performed a year after the death. All the family, friends and relatives are invited and gathered during the ceremony. It is also called the Shraadh ceremony. It is performed on the same date on which the person has deceased. It is performed for the blessings of our ancestors and to wish them a happy next life. All the auspicious functions are prohibited in the family until the Barsi ceremony. After the rituals of Pind and Tarpan, twelve Brahmans are invited to feast and after that rest of the invitees eat
